Leeds’ viral frozen yoghurt café is serving up a spooky new blackcurrant flavour alongside Halloween giveaways, in-store activities and DJs.
Forget the usual Halloween sweets. This October, one of Leeds’ fastest-growing foodie favourites is offering something a little different, complete with a spooky new flavour and a weekend of celebrations.
KefiYo, the frozen yoghurt café that has taken Headingley by storm since opening this summer, is preparing to celebrate Halloween with a series of themed activities, giveaways and music at its popular Ash Road location.
And because no Halloween celebration would be complete without something sweet, the café is introducing a limited-edition blackcurrant frozen yoghurt with a darker colour inspired by spooky season.
The new addition brings a Halloween twist to KefiYo’s famously colourful bowls and offers customers another flavour to combine with their favourite toppings.
KefiYo has built its reputation on allowing customers to create their own frozen yoghurt combinations, with unlimited standard toppings included in the price and a selection of premium extras available.
Its existing flavour range includes passion fruit, Biscoff, apple pie, strawberry, chocolate orange and natural frozen yoghurt, alongside a vegan coconut option.
But the café isn’t stopping at a new flavour.
On Wednesday 28th October, KefiYo will begin its Halloween celebrations with themed decorations, special in-store activities and giveaways, bringing a spooky atmosphere to the Headingley hotspot.
The festivities will continue into the weekend, with DJs in-store on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October, giving customers another reason to stop by for a Halloween treat.
The celebrations come after a successful few months for the independent Leeds business.
Since launching this summer, KefiYo has become a favourite with local food lovers, thanks to its colourful interiors, creative frozen yoghurt offering and Mediterranean-inspired approach to food.
Its eye-catching bowls have also become a social media hit, with customers sharing their creations online and helping the café attract national attention from BBC News, Business Insider and Yahoo.
Gagan Chera, Co-Founder of KefiYo, said:
“We’ve had such an incredible response from the Leeds community since opening, and we’re always looking for new ways to make KefiYo even more fun for our customers.”
The brand’s ambitions go beyond frozen yoghurt, with a wider café menu including smoothies, matcha, speciality coffees and açaí bowls, alongside community activities such as run clubs and Pilates pop-ups.
For Leeds food lovers looking for something sweet this Halloween, KefiYo’s combination of new flavours, giveaways and music offers a different way to enjoy the celebrations.
And with a deliciously dark blackcurrant creation on the menu, there’s every reason to embrace the treats rather than the tricks.
KefiYo’s Halloween celebrations begin Wednesday 28th October, with DJs in-store on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October.
